The MOT Test has been an important contributor in the UK’s improving road safety record. Regular checks mean that there aren’t as many defective or unsafe vehicles on the road and that defects which may cause serious accidents can be picked up. The annual check has picked up horror stories, like those below. This can happen in new cars as well as old. That's why it is important to check cars after three years, and then annually.
